Since 1997 we have successfully recruited over 400 Canadian educators who have travelled to schools in China and Thailand to support teachers and students who are learning English. In China, our project was the recipient of the Friendship Award in 2000 and again in 2001. This award is presented by the Governor of Jiangsu Province to groups that have contributed to that province's development in the fields of Medicine, Science, Engineering, The Arts, and Education. Our teams of Canadian educators have worked in several cities in Jiangsu Province as well as Beijing and Tianjin.

We have successfully worked with the teachers at St. Gabriel's College in Bangkok, Thailand to develop methodology and strategies in their classrooms.

Projects for 2008 included a programme at the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital working with medical staff to improve their skills in English.
